* Sometimes I think I'm in a movie similar to The Truman Show. Like for realz. There are way too many oddities and serendipitous moments in my life for me not to be. The husband and I even call it "the producer" when strange things happen. I should start a journal so you guys can see what I mean!
* I've had some weird stuff in my lifetime. Ringworm? Check. Xanthogranuloma nevus? Check. (and yes, that's spelled correctly.. google it!) A Ganglion Cyst? Check. Shingles? Check.
* We owned a camper growing up and I've spent time in probably 35-40 of our great states. Traveling with my family was a big part of my childhood and seeing the world that way helped shaped me into the person I am today. Sure we could have stayed at 5-star resorts, but living with the basics for a week or two at a time changes your perspective on 'needs' versus 'wants'.
* I canNOT go to the bathroom (and we're not just talking #1 here people) without having something to read. If I'm in a public restroom and there's not a spray bottle or something to read, I become very anxious and can nearly break out into cold sweats. Weird I know.
* I twirled the baton for 15 years. I'd love for my daughter to do the same should I have one someday!
I'm tagging these new followers and lovely ladies: Nikki, Kelley, Katie and Suzanne.

And on another note, I hope you'll hop over this Friday for my first ever GIVEAWAY!
Here's a hint to what it might include...
HA!!! I love the needing-to-read-in-the-bathroom! Sometimes I feel like a chemist or biologist or something because I think I could probably recite the back of the can labeling/explanations/descriptions from the industrial antibacterial/antimicrobial/anti-everything spray that they used in the bathrooms at my old work. The can was ALWAYS sitting at eye-level and I mean...what else was I supposed to read? I could probably be a sales rep for that company now, actually.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I actually have a ganglion cyst in my forearm. I play with it sometimes and it grosses my husband out.
ReplyDeleteI was in a "beauty pageant" in high school (it wasn't focused on beauty, but rather academics) and I was runner up to a girl who twirled baton as her talent. DAMN YOU BATON TWIRLERS!!!
I LOVE the idea of traveling around the country in a camper! It's on my dream 'to-do' list. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteHaha I have to have something to read in the bathroom as well! My computer will go with me sometimes if I'm home haha! :)
ReplyDeleteI like having something to read in the bathroom. I finished many books in there haha.
ReplyDeleteI really really want to travel and hope to do it sometime soon!
Ah I have to read in the bathroom too! When I am out I always pull out my phone even if it is only for a couple of seconds! I don't know what my problem is, it is like I get bored instantly sitting on the toilet. I am so glad I am not the only one!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I always talk about traveling around the country in a camper one day. I grew up as an Army brat so we did a lot of traveling around the country. It is so amazing to see so many different places. Since it was the Army always moving us, we had to make quick trips and stay in cheap hotels, but I would love to make those travels in a camper!! Hopefully some day!!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny that your life is like the Truman show ... I loved that movie!

My husband has ringworm right now :( It's right on his shoulder. So weird! I actually thought ringworm was tapeworm for a while, so I was really grossed out. I was like, 'Eww! You have a worm inside you!" I guess I need to make sure I know what I'm talking about before I get weirded out :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a camper too and most all of our vacations were tied to that!!! It was fun and I still love camping to this day. Avery will be a camper for sure!!!!
ReplyDeleteI get weird sicknesses too. Just random.
Love this, thanks for sharing!
Ringworm and shingles make my list.
ReplyDeleteScott and I have thrown around the idea of someday having a camper. It sounds like it would be a blast to travel and see the country that way.
