Lately

The weather has been just meh and when I sit down at night after the kiddos go to bed it feels like the first time I can breath that day. I barely have time to shower and the house is never fully picked up or cleaned but it's our life and I love it. Someday I'll not be running nonstop like a chicken with its head cut off and someday I'll get to watch more TV, but for now it's just crazy so we embrace it. Drew is currently in baseball (basketball just ended), he was part of his school's UIL Music Memory team and is on the Annie crew set. Ady is in soccer and dance and Will is starting to pull up on things. For now here are some recent snaps...

Valentine's Day

It's not a huge day in our relationship as Derek always takes me to a nice dinner for my birthday just a few days prior. Generally he brings me a cookie cake for my birthday (this was the 16th annual one!) and some flowers and then we just exchange cards on the actual vday. This year was a bit crazy, however, as Will had a double ear infection and both kiddos had Vday parties at the same time. Thank goodness for grandparents yet again! I was able to get to Drew's party while Poppa attended Ady's and Gramma was at home with Will so he could take a much needed good nap.

We did go to a little playdate after that as he was on antibiotics and feeling much better. It was quite adorable!

And yes I snapped pictures of them all in red but have yet to edit those and hope to have them posted sometime in 2019. HA! :)

William's Baptism

Although we would have loved for the Kansas City pastor who baptized Drew and Ady to also do Will, we have since joined a church down here in Texas and felt it was only right to do it here. I have to say he looked beyond adorable and did a great job!

I mean..... just LOOK at him!!!

We then all went to Buca Di Bepo for a nice lunch afterward! It was a wonderful morning and I'm so excited for our little man to join us in God's Family. :)

Misc Pics

Just some catching up on our crazy busy lives!

Will has the most beautiful blond curls and I love them so!

He also pretty much loves ALL food!

Mimi and Grandpa got to have lunch with Drew while they were in town!

We also had 100% of our grandparents at Drew's basketball game for the first time in his life! It's hard with relatives who live out of state!

A girlfriend celebrated her 40th recently and had a fun party!

Father / Daughter / Grandfather Dance

Ady's school had their Father-Daughter dance when Grandpa was in town so he got to join in on the fun! Sister bear felt SO special in her princess dress and had a blast dancing and twirling with both of them.

Weekend Away

I think I've mentioned on here a million times but Derek and I never pass up a chance to get away kidless! We enjoy each other and it's nice to have uninterrupted conversation so why not?  :) So when we found out last fall that a friend of Derek's was going to get married in California we knew we wanted to go. We asked his parents if they were ok coming a week early before Will's baptism to watch the 3 for a few days and they happily agreed. It was an awesome weekend with hiking the Palm Canyons, enjoying delicious food, laying by the pool with fruity drinks, riding up the tram to the freezing cold snow and being touristy in LA. Oh and we loved not having to wake up to an alarm or worry about putting the kiddos down for naps! And yes, I did take my pump just to keep my supply up. :) This was all around a beautiful wedding where we danced the night away!

We sure did miss our littles though. Thank goodness for FaceTime!!
