HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I'll have pictures up later this week from tonight but right now it's pouring and I'm hoping it lets up for trick or treating!!
For now, here's a comparison of my boys in the Pooh Costume. They are definitely brothers! :)

Will // 7 Months Old
Stats:
Weight: 21 lbs
Height: 28 inches
Changes: I think we can call you an official sitter now. Also, we started food this month!! More on that below. :)
Temperament: Still quite the happy little baby! I'm not sure if it was all of our issues for these first 6 months or what but I feel like we don't get as many giggles as your brother and sister but we sure try. Drew is the BEST at getting your huge smiles and awesome giggles!
Sleep: Still a champ! You generally take 2 naps a day but sometimes 3. You go down at night and naps awake and just talk yourself to sleep within a few minutes. At night you're generally in bed around 7:30-8 and sleep until 7:30-8 with a quick nurse anywhere from 3:30a-6a. (But some nights, like last night, you go 11 hours straight!) You're also still wearing the zipadeezip and take a pacifier at night.
Eat: You started food this month! The first night you tried avocado and mommy wanted to do 'baby led weaning' where you feed yourself pieces instead of mashing it all up. Well it backfired and you threw it up all over your crib. Daddy wanted to go back to puree's so that's what we did. So far you have tried bananas, pears, carrots, peas, squash and sweet potatoes. Your favorite is definitely bananas! As far as liquids we still nurse 5-6 times a day and then get a bottle of formula at night.
Clothes: You're in mostly 12 month now with a couple 18 and 24 month outfits
Diapers: Just switched you to size 4 thanks to some blowouts
Talk: You're starting to mimic our mouth movements and when you get tired it sounds like you're saying momma but we know it's just sleepiness. :)
Teeth: Still zero!
Loving life with you little man. I couldn't even imagine this a couple of months ago but now it's just awesome. Happy 7 months little man!!!

My 3 Pumpkins
We had grand plans of hitting up a pumpkin patch last week but my friend literally had her car get stuck in the mud at one so we changed our minds and hit up a local church lot. The kiddos still got to pick out their own pumpkins! Can't wait to carve them with family!

Halloween Party
Now with my parents living here we are able to get some more date nights in! Our local moms group had a costume Halloween Party which was a blast! We dressed up as a SWAT and policewoman mostly because, well, Derek already had his outfit. And yes, I wore my boots because momma didn't want to be on heels for hours. Ha!
My age really showed though as I was seriously hurting for a full 24 hours after and wasn't fully recuperated until 2 days later! It was worth it though for a fun date night with the hubby.

Futsol
It's been so insanely rainy this fall that the poor kiddos have had to reschedule endless soccer games. This past weekend they were moved to an indoor gym and it was quite different. BUT they both scored their first goals!!!!

More Foods!
Since our 'episode' with avocado, we've tried several more foods, just this time they were mashed all up. :) Here's a rundown so far:
Bananas - LOVED
Peas - liked
Squash - liked
Sweet potatoes - HATED
Pears - liked
Carrots - liked
We do plan to try avocado again soon as well as more foods!

Back Issues
Goodness 2018 has been a year. I've felt the highest highs and the lowest lows. We keep getting over hurdle after hurdle but thankfully Derek and I are stronger than ever and are determined to get through it all. Now that this little face is sleeping and is a much happier baby everything seems perfect. That is, except for my back and hips. Going on 6 weeks now I've been fighting pain when I wake up and on most days it's so painful I can barely move. It all started right after Will's roughest time of needing held and rocked and picked up and laid down over and over and over all day. I know that's what started it, but combined with the fact that my core strength is very weak and ALL my baby weight this time went to my stomach I was doomed. I've now seen a spine doc, am going to PT, have been to the chiropractor and am stopping bootcamp and starting yoga. It has decreased in my back but now in my right hip on the front and back it's still there. I try to not lift Will when possible and Derek has been a champ with that but it's just still so depressing. To wake up to every morning feeling like an 85 year old person when I need to attack my day sucks. I was so excited to start running and getting back into shape but I'm so scared of aggravating it. Good thing this little stinker is so cute!

Port Aransas
We were wanting to get away somewhere this fall semi nearby that wouldn't be more than a days drive and had decided to try out Galveston. Well, at the suggestion of several friends, we booked a resort a bit farther down the coast on Port Aransas. The beaches were supposed to be better and not still destroyed from the hurricane earlier this year. We found a cute little resort with an awesome pool and booked just a few nights stay there. Overall it was a wonderful time with lots of junk food for the kiddos who got to stay up late, enjoy tons of beach time and play outside until they were worn out. Will was an amazing baby who slept awesome and was completely chill and happy the entire time. The resort was definitely going through a rebuilding phase and we did have some issues, but truthfully as long as the kids are happy that's all that matters! Here are some of my fave pics...

Will // First Foods
I was really excited to try baby led weaning this time around with food. The thought of not having to puree everything and letting him learn food himself was exciting. So, on his 6 month birthday night we decided to let him play around with avocado. Despite not much actually going into his mouth he seemed to love it. It was adorable watching him try to pick up the slippery pieces and explore them in his mouth.
Aaaaand then fast forward to 2am when we hear him gagging and throwing up. I frantically ran upstairs to find avocado and milk everywhere. The kid had spewed it all out all over the place. Derek had a fit and said everything needed to be pureed again and no more baby led weaning. Doc said it must have just been a fluke and that most likely he wasn't allergic since there were no other side effects. Poor guy!
We have done bananas, which he LOVES, and sweet potatoes, which he does NOT love, since then and plan to do pears and squash soon!

Bicycle Man
Drew has been begging to ride his bike to school but seeing as how he's only in second grade we were hesitant. We found out a few weeks ago that his 4th grade buddy wanted to ride also and that we have a 5th grade boy a few houses down who rides as well! Due to their ages and responsibility levels combined with the fact that we don't live too far from school, I felt comfortable trying it out. They also only have to cross one 'bigger' street (still a 20mph speed limit during school hours) and there is a crossing guard there. Well day 1 he rode home with a huge smile on his face and has loved it ever since. I also love not having to do any carpool duty for now. Ha!

Mimi & Grandpa Visit
Mimi and Grandpa drove down from KC to visit and help out for a week. It was nice for them to be able to see a soccer game for each big kiddo as well as spend some time with Will. Mimi brought down a few delicious meals and we also ventured out a couple of times. The kiddos love when they pick them up from school and all the extra play time. :)
See you in November!
