This season we have 3 soccer players for the first, and maybe only, time ever. Will is trying out rec soccer and actually doing quite well! His third game he got a Hat Trick (scored 3 goals) and we have been blowing away the other teams each time. Will is probably the most aggressive 5 year old soccer player we've had in the family and he's just so adorable to watch. Derek is helping coach his team and he's loving it!
Drew signed with Solar, a national soccer club, this year and is playing on the ECNL-RL league. This is a very competitive league and it's been the perfect challenge for him. I heard a rumor the other day that the person with the most anxiety at the games are the keepers moms and boy is that the truth. There's another keeper on the team and they are both good so right now play time is split between them. Drew is just so handsome in his full keeper kit.
Ady was a bit reluctant to play again this year but she's on such a sweet little team that now that we're halfway through the season she's loving it. Another mom mentioned last week about how Ady has improved so much and when she wants to play she's awesome. The last game it was a completely different girl the first half with hustling hard! We'll see if we continue with soccer but for now it's so fun to watch her spring when she will do it. She's actually quite a fast runner so I hope she sticks with it a bit longer! Dance eventually will take over but for now I adore this little team and hope she stays for another year or so. :)
