Future T-Ball Star?

Maybe someday we'll have a t-ball player on our hands!

 

First Day of School

Fist day of school for this 1st grader! She's SO excited to be at school with big brother going into 'Big 1st'. She has a wonderful teacher who will be so great for her this year! 

This one is now in the 3's room at school with an AWESOME teacher also. Unfortunately she tested positive with COVID on the fist day so he was at home all last week for quarantine and testing but we're excited for him to go back this week!

And last but not least is this big man on campus. Going into 5th grade he looks SO old to me! His teachers had to rearrange last minute due to some people opting for remote learning but he's got 3 wonderful teachers. We're also pumped as he was one of a few 5th graders accepted into the accelerated math program. This year in 5th he'll be zooming into the 6/7th math combo class in the middle school. Then going into 6th grade next year he'll be doing the 8th grade math and will continue this path. He's super excited to be pushed (the kid loves being pushed) and we know he has the ambition and work ethic to succeed in this program. Plus, he was super bored last year in math and needs this!

 

And yes we had to get a picture with all 5 of the kiddos! 

And if you're asking, yes, my big kids are wearing masks to school. It's not mandated right now (that's an entirely separate issue in Texas with heated arguments on both sides) but our district basically begged everyone to wear them. Being that Texas is special, only about 40-50% of students actually are wearing them but we feel it's our civil duty and responsibility to protect others and do our part. Plus, it's a tiny piece of material over their mouth and our kids could care less! 

 

Hazel Update

She's now 10 months old and is still a firecracker. She has gotten tons better at jumping on people but hasn't improved at all with eating sisters poop outback. #eyeroll. She's been left out of the kennel a couple of times now for 15-20ish minutes and did fine but when we are home she just can't keep her nose out of the dirt in my potted snake plant. #anothereyeroll. At night she sleeps on our bed and is still quite the snuggler who constantly think she is still a lap dog. She is quite the cute pup though and despite us calling her the devil sometimes, we still love her tons. 

 

Summer Videos

I hope someday these videos will show on here so that I can remember my kiddos playing so well together and enjoying their summer. Nothing makes me more happy than when they are getting along and loving each others presence. 

Rainy Days

We went out and splashed in his rain boots for 2.6 minutes before getting bored and wanting to go on another jeep ride. 

 

Chores & Play

We are not a big electronics family. The kids can earn some ipad or TV time but they do have chores and we are often found outside or playing games rather than doing electronics. One chore is the toilets! Ady and Drew do it together and they do a pretty good job! 

We had a couple of cool days (and by 'cool' I mean not 100, rather 'only' 92, HA!) a few weeks ago and we did lots of chalk! 

 

Lazy Days

Once and a while they'll all sit together. 

 

Float Trip for Kat's Birthday

Our girlfriend Kathryn wanted to float the San Marco river in New Braunsfels for her July birthday so we rented a house and did just that! It was SO much fun and I can't WAIT to go back for another float! 

 

Hazel // 8 Months

In late July Hazel turned 8 months. She's still a puppy and we don't let her roam just yet while we're gone but overall she's a good dog. She doesn't take food, doesn't get into the trash, eat shoes or mess generally with anything in the house with the exception of 1 thing. She cannot leave the dirt along in the pot of my house palm! She likes to push her nose through it like a weirdo. I've also been working on her with walks and if no one is around I can get a nice loose-leash walk but the minute she spots a dog she flips out. We're working on it. :)

 

Summer Randoms

The bigs and I head to Hawaiian Falls almost every week with a buddy in the summer while Will is at school!
