Father-Daughter Dance

Ady was SO excited for her father-daughter dance and had a great time dancing the night away with her friends and daddy. 

I was also asked to photograph the girls and their dads at the party and it was EXHAUSTING. Almost 3 hours nonstop was a lot. But I got to spy on my sweet girl. :)

 

Pink Birthday Dinner

My girlfriends and I decided to all dress up in pink for a fun birthday night celebrating our two February birthdays (Marti and myself). We went to a cute new little Dallas restaurant and it was SO fun!

 

School Fun

Drew and his buddies had a booth in their school's fun night where the kids come up with their own food or game or item to sell. They decided to do a Pong stand where they had a couple of games using ping pong balls. They did amazing and worked so hard on their table and games!

Valentine's Day

After Ady's Fairytale Ball I was lucky enough to hop on over to Drew's party to volunteer. Knowing it's his last year for class Holiday parties I soaked it all in. :)

1st Grade Fairytale Ball

One of our school's most fun and amazing events for the 1st graders is the Fairytale Ball! They learn a dance for weeks and get all dressed up and it's adorable. This year Ady got to carry her class banner in...

Birthday Recap

Derek surprised me this year to do indoor skydiving!!! It was super scary and although I quickly exited the first attempt, the second attempt was MUCH more fun! It's a crazy feeling and although it solidified the fact that I never want to jump out of a plane, it was such a unique experience. Also, I just love day dates with him!

We also always do dinner out in between my birthday and Valentine's Day since they are close and this year we enjoyed a delicious steakhouse!

First Drink of 2022!

For our own willpower, Derek and I decided to do dry January but then also took it into February a few extra days until our night out with friends! It honestly wasn't that hard to go 35 days and we felt great that we most likely will refrain from alcohol moving forward except for special occasions. :)

But we did have a good time with buddies doing a VERY hard escape room!!

SCHOOL SNOW DAY!

We got another 1-2 inches of snow for a second year in a row and because of the ice they cancelled school! We enjoyed a snow day with sledding, hot chocolate and plenty of time by the fire! We had a few snow bibs from Drew's time up north and Drew wore my snow pants and I wore daddy's. We layered up socks and wore rain boots and put every hoodie and coat on that we could! The kids LOVED it.... well the bigs did. Will didn't love sledding but he enjoyed eating the snow and being out there with us! Day 2 was much more sunny and not windy so the kids had more fun then. :)
