William // 1 Year Old

HAPPY BIRTHDAY little man. I can't believe you are one let alone the fact that we survived your first year. You put us through the ringer but are such a loved member of our family that we wouldn't have it any other way. We love you so much our little 5th wheel and we couldn't imagine our family without you. Thank you for being you and I look forward to watching you grow.

Weight: 23lbs 12oz
Height: 30in

Changes: You cruise along EVERYTHING! Still no walking yet but you seem to want to walk and get frustrated when you can't get from one cruising spot to another.

Temperament: Still my sweet, happy boy, except when you have an ear infection. You had a double one 2 months ago, and then another double one a month ago and then now have a single one. Tubes might be in our future.

Sleep: Still a great sleeper except, again, when you're get an ear infection. You nap a couple times a day, generally around 11 and 4 and sleep 1.5 hours to 2 hours long. Some days you are only taking one good nap midday. At night you are usually asleep by around 8-8:30 and don't wake up until anywhere from 7-8a!

Eat: You pretty much eat anything except straight dairy stuff and LOVE food. Like, you'd eat all day if we let you. We noticed you break out into major excema if you eat cheese so we're starting with dairy free milk instead of cows milk for now. You still nurse a couple times a day too which means we MADE IT TO A YEAR!!!!

Clothes: You're in mostly 18-24 month now

Diapers: Size 4.

Talk:  I gave in and admitted that your first word was Dadda. Now you say Momma and Poppa and are working on Doggie and Ady. You do great imitating what we're saying!

Teeth: Still no more. Just 4.

This Guy

Pretty sure I've mentioned this before but this guy is my #1 in life. Period. In this world where there are infidelities and marital issues, I feel so lucky to have him by my side. We are truly best friends and I couldn't love him more.

Costa Rica Part 1

Oh man. Where do I even start with posting about our trip to Costa Rica?! We decided not to do gifts again with my side and instead take a trip. BEST decision ever. What's better than being together and experiencing a foreign country? No presents that's for sure!
I guess I'll just do a recap of the main highlights and leave you with pictures galore. First, the kids were awesome flying both ways and Will slept almost all of the big leg to and from CR. We had Gramma and Poppa with us on the plane which helped the other kiddos but they were all wonderful. Our house was awesome, all outdoor living, but there was some security issues night one with the alarm going off and the security guard showing up gun in hand speaking not a lick of English. It was a little scary! We had family pictures while on the beach, the boys went deep sea fishing and caught a LOT of fish, Derek, Mike, Drew and I went zip lining which was a blast and we spent a TON of time in the pool. We spent an evening on Tamarindo Beach twice, tried to get to Playa Conchal which failed and ate a lot of delicious food there. The pina coladas were amazing and so was the fruit! The kiddos had a blast every single day and we can't wait until our next vacation!
In the end, it wasn't the easiest traveling with 3 kids, one being a baby, but it was hands down worth it.

William // 11 Month Update

So it's March 1st today but there is no 29th of Feb so the post is going up today! :)

Stats:
Weight: 22.5lbs-ish
Height: 28.5inches - ish

Changes: You've mostly transitioned to normal crawling but sometimes still prefer to army crawl. You also pull up to your knees on everything you can and are SO close to pulling all the way up.   You also sprouted some top teeth!

Temperament: So happy but slowly starting to dislike missing out on any action or sit for long. You are a mover and a shaker and LOVES wrastling your family members!

Sleep: Still an awesome sleeper! You nap a couple times a day, generally around 11 and 4 and sleep 1.5 hours to 3 hours long. At night you are usually asleep by around 8-8:30 and don't wake up until anywhere from 7-8a! We thank our lucky stars for this daily.

Eat: We are working on more and more dairy in preparation for trying some cows milk here next month. You seem to be doing ok with little bits of cheese so hopefully we can get over the lactose hump! As far as liquids you still nurse 3-4 times a day and then still get a bottle of formula or defrosted breastmilk at night and sometimes in the afternoon as well as 2 bottles at school of formula on those days.

Clothes: You're in mostly 18-24 month now

Diapers: Size 4.

Talk:  We still don't have an official first word but you're still mumbling sounds. It's super hard to get belly laughs from you so when we do it's the sweetest noise!

Teeth: 2 more came through and they are both on top!
