My Soccer Stud

Drew has finally found his position! For the first few games this season he was out front and really struggled to get in there and get the ball. He's never really been aggressive with sports and tends to fall back and just help when needed rather than get in there and take the ball for himself. Well last weekend coach put him in a defender spot and he ROCKED it. He stopped several goals and really did awesome. At the end of the game he was smiling saying he loved his new position and we were so proud of how well he did. He loves playing soccer and it was hard to watch him struggle those first few games knowing that but these last 2 games have been so different. I'm so proud of my soccer stud and it's been fun watching him come out of his shell a bit!

But really, it's all about their experience right? And see that last smile? It's everything. :)

Car Sickness

Here we go again with #2. Drew started getting sick in the car around age 3 and now Ady has begun as well. On our way down to San Antonio she barfed all over her car seat. On the way home it was close but we had bags and were much more prepared. After chatting with friends, I've purchased 2 sea bands and we will be on the lookout more for signs of when these 2 are going to lose their stomachs. Poor things. Just look at their miserable faces...

Trip to San Antonio

Originally we had planned to spend 4 days on the beaches of Galveston but after the hurricane we knew we had to change up our trip. We decided to head to the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa instead as it had a bunch of slides, a beach and tons of resort activities! We had a wonderful time full of fruity drinks (virgin for me), yummy food, s'mores treats, activities like painting and a duck race and fun on their beach. We also took an afternoon to visit the Alamo and riverwalk where we enjoyed our most favorite guac ever at a restaurant called Boudro's. The last day we left a bit earlier as a cold front had come in and stopped at a pumpkin patch near Austin on our way home. It was full of activities and although we were a bit chilly we had a great time! It was a wonderful family trip and a place where we will definitely visit again!

Fall Family Pictures

We had some fall pictures taken a few weeks ago and although the foliage is definitely not 'fall' looking down here, I still adore how they turned out! Here are some of my faves...

Supergirl & Her Brother

These 2. It seems most days they play so nice together, but sometimes not. But outside they generally always get along and love racing up and down the sidewalk. :)

And man we couldn't have a better dog. She loves to be out there with us and never runs off despite being off leash. She's the best family dog ever.

Homecoming

Our little Texas town had their homecoming a couple weeks ago and we decided to catch the parade with some buddies. The entire community came out and it was quite the ordeal! Ady's friend's mom even made her a mum in which I just found out about this Texas tradition. These things seems to get larger and larger the older they get. Seriously... google 'texas mum' and you'll see what I mean! :)
