William // 2 Month Update
So glad that we're at 2 months old and the majority of our fussy, colicky time period has come and gone! We are feeling more like ourselves lately and getting out more around the city. It's crazy busy with 3 littles but you are the perfect addition to our family.
Stats:
Weight: 14lbs 7 oz (91%)
Height: 23inches (46%)
Head: 40.1cm (81%)
Temperament: WHEW was last month rough. You were just not a happy baby when you were awake and mommy had to cut dairy and is now trying more of a paleo diet with minimal carbs as well. Although it's gotten a TON better, you still don't like being left alone and REALLY prefer to be held. You also still hate the pacifier and it takes some time to get it in your mouth! But SMILES! Tons and tons of smiles and we are loving every single one.
Sleep: MUCH better the last 5 days thanks to the Rock N Play. You just would NOT go past 4 hours in the pack n play but love the rock n play! Still nowhere near as good as your brother and sister and their 8 hours stretches but it's really not that bad to get up once a night! You're still not on a routine during the day but generally take 3-4 decent naps. Unfortunately you're in your carseat a lot due to all the activities the big kids have.
Eat: Love nursing and you're still trucking along just fine at it. It's been a HOT week though in the 100's and momma does not love nursing outside when we are both sweating! :)
Clothes: You're still squeezing into some 3 month size but is in mostly 6 month.
Diapers: Size 1 but switching to size 2 tomorrow.
Talk: Trying SO hard to make a sound lately and I feel like we're so close!
Life is crazy busy and you're a handful sometimes but man you are a perfect little being and we are all so smitten with your little face!

So Old
Sometimes he'll still play with a toy truck and he generally still needs a stuffed animal at night but then often he'll lay down with his marbles and look like he's already 12. We butt heads a lot because we are both bull headed about things but goodness I love my first born and am so beyond proud of him.

Baseball is Over
It was a tough season for this team as they had a few really awesome players but then the rest were more just average for their ages. Drew began the season with some really heartbreaking games so we quickly got him in some private batting lessons. These seemed to help a TON as did playing catch and hitting with daddy more often. We stopped those after about a month as we only had a few games left and MAN could you see that he completely reverted back to not his best time. He also didn't practice at all those last few weeks which really played into it. It was a great lesson for him about the fact that he needed to put in hard effort if he wanted to do good so we're hoping next season is better. He does love playing though!
He also loves sunflower seeds....

Fairytale Ball
Will's gift to Ady when he was born was tickets to the Ft. Worth Fairytale Ball. We went down with a little buddy last weekend and Ady love every second. I, on the other hand, won't be back and thought the pricey tickets were a complete rip off for what it actually included. Basically they got to hug princesses and do some dances. The 'craft' was a piece of paper and crayons and the 'snack bar' was smartees and pink suckers. She loved it though so I guess that's all that matters!

#32
My sweet girl is wrapping up her first season of soccer and MAN was it cute. They got completely annihilated in some games and in others blew out the other team. Ady didn't actually make a goal this season but she did kick it quite a few times and enjoyed just running back and forth with her teammates. Hopefully next year she'll understand the importance of actually trying to get it IN the net!
And the best part? The snacks afterward of course!

Drew's Baseball Pictures
The team had a 'professional' photographer come out to snap some pictures of the boys and the team and here are the pictures. He's so studly.

Dairy
So, it's gone. At least the majority of it is. In an effort to figure out why little man isn't happy when he's awake, I've cut out all milk, creamer, yogurt, ice cream, cream cheese and any cheese I can remember or notice. Obviously there will be a tiny bit of dairy in some foods here and there but what I can control is gone. I've known for decades that I'm party lactose intolerant. Dairy just makes me gassy but I LOVE LOVE LOVE cheese and ice cream so never really cared. It's now been near 3 weeks of cutting it and I'm not sure if that's what is helping the little guy but his stomach seems to just be better. It was for REAL gurgling ALL the time and he was so beyond gassy that we knew something was wrong. He would poop in EVERY diaper very runny poo and toot nonstop. He now poops like once, maybe twice a day and you don't feel his tummy rumbles near as much. Is it the dairy? Or chiropractor? Or probiotics? We don't really know exactly what's helping him but I'm enjoying being less gassy too so we're going to continue on this path for now. I'm just thankful that Ben & Jerry's makes dairy free ice cream! :)

Adjusting
Most people told us that going from 2 to 3 was easier than 1 to 2. I'm on the fence right now but it's only because we have a colicky baby. Now, the term colic varies and I'm not 100% sure if we should call it that but the ped did so we'll go with that. Overall he takes wonderful naps during the day and goes to sleep pretty well at night. Just wish we could get more than a 4 hours stretch from him but at least I'm only waking up 2 times at night to nurse.
It's just when he's awake that he's not a happy guy. He pretty much cries the entire time he's awake and it's very frustrating. We've now seen the ped, a chiropractor, are doing probiotics and I've cut dairy. I honestly think it's gastrointestinal related as you can hear his stomach at all times. Either way it makes life MUCH more stressful for us as he can't just happily lay on a play mat like his brother and sister did. He needs to be held. Also, the kid doesn't love pacifiers like our other 2. We can get one in but it takes a couple minutes of working it in.
Lastly, my hormones have been REALLY off this time around. I've cried way more than the other 2 and had some really rough days last week. Family is officially gone and the meals from friends who spoiled us for the first month end this Sunday with our last one. I'm nervous about day to day life with 3 kids but am counting down the weeks until the colic seems to get better. It makes me SO sad that he's in pain or upset over something and I can't figure it out. He's an ADORABLE little man who has started trying to smile and I love him to pieces.
Here are some shots from times when he's not screaming...
He always has that left fist balled up by his head when he's crying...
And the smotherer of all smotherers smothers again...

Family Pictures
We had these taken when you were around 10 days old and I adore them! Niki Wise Photography has a VERY similar style to mine and I love how they turned out!
