Palm Sunday, Sprinkle #2 & Jayhawks!

Quick snap of our family before Palm Sunday this past week. The kids loved waving their palms and seeing the donkey and live animals was pretty cool too!

Then 2 girlfriends hosted a sprinkle for me and another momma who are both due with boys this spring. I joined this moms group just back in July when we moved here hoping to make buddies for Ady. Secretly, of course, I wanted to make friends for myself as well. Our playgroup is amazing and these mommas have become a source of laughter, fun, happiness and support for me. Not sure how I got so lucky but they are the best!!

Me with the 2 beautiful hosts Allison and Sarah.

Most of the beautiful women... just missing a couple more!

Then that evening the Jayhawks won to advance to the Final Four yet again! Go HAWKS!

Baseball, Dates & Buddies

Drew had a baseball game (facing away from me bottom right with red pitcher next to him) on Saturday and it was HOT! He loves playing but we have some work to do with him! How do you get a lego and coding loving kid to want to practice baseball though? We have a private lesson for him this week to practice batting and hopefully that helps! Again, he loves it and has fun so that's all that matters.

My sweet sweet friend Kelly offered to watch Ady while I sat at the baseball game knowing how miserable I am so I wouldn't have to chase her around. She's a saint. Her little bestie, Lottie, is in the middle and their friend Jack is in the purple dress.

Then that evening Derek and I had our pre-baby nice dinner out we've done with each kiddo. It was absolutely delicious and anytime that I don't have to cook that makes me happy! Love this man with all my heart and can't wait for our family of 5!!

Ady Soccer

Ady had her first soccer game this past weekend and it was ADORABLE. Watching 3 and 4 year olds chase a ball around and not really do much is quite cute. She actually jumped right in and was awesome compared to some other teammates who wouldn't even go near the ball and cried the entire time. Maybe she'll be a little athlete! She had fun though so that's the main thing!

The Waiting Game

Today I'm about 38.5 weeks pregnant and actually for the last 2 weeks have been feeling a bit better. For about a month there I was completely miserable every evening. Tightness and pain in the belly and just extremely uncomfortable but that's taken a bit of a last turn and it's not TOO horrible. I remember this time with the other 2. It's almost a boring time as we have everything packed and done and ready for baby boy but can't really venture too far from home to do activities. I deep cleaned the fridge this weekend as everything else is done and I'm trying to just relax and keep the kiddos on their schedule.

Ady has been a bit different the last couple of weeks almost as though she knows change is coming. She's been acting out more and while I know she's 3.5 and it's par for the course, I think it's related to the baby. Drew has been fabulous except for maybe some heightened anxiety but that's always been part of his personality. Derek and I on the other hand are pretty calm and genuinely just excited to get the show on the road and meet the little man.

I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions quite often but other than that there's really no sign that I'm so close to delivering. At 36 weeks he measured at 8 pounds already, at 37 weeks he was 8.5 pounds and at 38 weeks he estimated about 9lbs. The OB has said he'll be a very big baby and had mentioned an early induction at my 36 week appt but I'm hoping we can avoid that as I really really really didn't want to have to do an induction again. But, apparently my babies are just stubborn and won't ever come out on their own! Either way, we're getting there, slowly but surely and if this blog goes silent for a while, it's probably because he decided to enter this world!

St. Patricks Day Fun

We didn't have much planned with the baby coming any day now but some of our new friends invited us to dinner at a brewery. Unfortunately it was completely sold out so we made the most of the evening by heading to a cajun restaurant with a nice patio for the kids to run around on. One of the dads loves crawfish and was showing the kids all about it. They were very entertained! Next year I'll at least get to have a green beer too!

A Visit From Uncle Bean

I know this blog often has Uncle Bean included and I'm so very thankful for that. He's a big part of our lives and I adore how much he wants to be with our family. He flew out from Florida last week to spend a few days relaxing with us before baby comes. We went to see a movie, visited our donkeys, played outside a ton, checked out a local farm and even tried a new restaurant where the kids can paint on the fences and trees! They LOVE their Uncle Bean and I love my little brother. :)

Baby Sprinkle!

We have an awesome street with some fabulous families and I was lucky enough to be the recipient of a baby sprinkle hosted by them! Another neighbor and I are both having boys within 5 weeks of each other and they took us out for pedis and manis and yummy treats. It was SO sweet of these girls to do that for us and I'm so thankful for their friendships already!

More Maternity Pictures

When other photographers want to test out new studios and they have beautiful dresses to wear and offer to take your pictures, you don't say no! This was when I was 35 weeks and Ady loved dressing up and playing around with mommy!

My photographer friend Kim Milano who lives in McKinney, TX is amazing at lifestyle and took these for us back in Feb when I was about 31 weeks along. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! These are just a few of my faves :)
