Our Donkeys
Our church sits right across the street from a tiny patch of land where 3 donkeys generally can be found. We see them each Sunday so we decided to bring them some celery before church and they LOVED it. Right when we pulled up they screamed their adorable scream and ran immediately over to us. They were super friendly (Drew pet them tons but Ady was a bit scared) and loved their crunchy sneaks.

Ady & Her Babies
Ady loves her dolls. Like seriously LOVES them. She was tucking them in and reading to them the other day so I snapped away.

Bath Time Fun
These 2 haven't taken a bath together in probably over a year since Drew has been big on privacy lately. But when I mentioned a bubble bath to Ady the other day, Drew said he'd like to join. We try not to make a big deal about body parts in this family, just what their main functions are and that's it. I love that he still has so much innocence and I hope that never goes away. Either way, the amount of giggles and laughs that came from the bathtub were worth every second of clean up after. They had so much fun goofing off and making each other laugh.

Valentine's Day
I ran to the Fairytale Ball, then to Drew's party, then over to Ady's and loved it all! My little Valentine's looked adorable and it was a fun day for them both!

1st Grade
Drew had his 101st day of school recently and they celebrated with a 101st dalmatian theme! I made a shirt for him but MAN was that hard to not make it look like a cow!
They also recently had their Fairytale Ball which was absolutely adorable. They learned 3 different dances, each had a partner and dressed up like knights and princesses! Drew was SO cute doing it and kept staring at me to make sure I didn't miss a single step.

Birthday Party Fun
Ady got completely pampered recently at a little buddy's birthday party and loved every second! A princess dress, her hair done, nails done, some makeup and more! Who wouldn't love all that pampering! :)

Daddy / Daughter Dance
A couple weeks ago Ady and Derek got to attend the daddy/daughter dance at her preschool. It was SO adorable how excited she was all week for daddy to 'spin her' and she was all smiles that evening! Love that those 2 got to spend some special one-on-one time together!

33 Weeks
Baby is measuring large but that's normal in our family (Drew was 8.2 and Ady was 9) and this time I have a weird feeling I won't make it to 41 weeks. That's AAAAAAAA-ok with me!!

My Honor Roll Stud
I was able to attend Drew's awards ceremony for his last semester a couple weeks ago and was SO proud to watch him get THREE awards! Perfect attendance for the last 6-week block, A honor roll for the last block and the biggest; A honor roll for the entire semester! We are so beyond proud of him!!

Personalities
It's so funny how different my kids are, yet still alike in some aspects, and I can't wait to see where #3 fits into the spectrum.
Drew has always been our sensitive one who gets nervous to try anything new and doesn't do well with any pressure placed on him. He'd prefer to engineer a lego or do a science project than shoot baskets and he still loves sleeping with his stuffed animals at 7 years old. With his friends, he's amazing but if he's in a group of new kids it takes him a while to warm up. He still doesn't loved to be touched and prefers to not snuggle yet he'll often say very sweet things on his own and has been offering his help more and more around the house. He doesn't argue about doing his homework and has always been our amazing rule follower.
Ady, on the other hand, is our social butterfly and will make friends with, and play with, anyone and everyone anywhere we go. We were just at Chick Fil A for the 9000th time this week and she met a new boy and struck up an imaginary play with him immediately. She's so full of sass and still 100% our snuggler but man she can flip and do a 180 if you say something or do something how she doesn't like. This one tends to bend rules a bit and already hides things behind her back that she knows she's not supposed to have.
One thing they both have in common, though, is their excitement for baby boy. Ady can't wait to 'snuggle and kiss him all over' and Drew is excited to teach him sports as he grows up!

Playing With Light
Ady 'found the light' the other day when she showed me how spraying the air freshener looked right in the beam. So, of course I snapped away.
..... and then cleaned the entire wet and slippery floor. :)
Then I played with the light in the bedroom to capture my 30th week!
Lastly my stud muffin was hard at work on his electrical circuit gift for his birthday and happily sitting right into the flooding light. LOVE!

Catching Up
This blog is becoming harder and harder to keep up and I'm only assuming with baby #3 that it will be even worse! I'll keep trying though as I still ADORE that my children one day will be able to read our lives!
We've been just getting the house as ready as we can here and there before baby comes. The nursery has been somewhat started and we're painting the old crib and dresser white (it used to be brown). I found Lullaby Paints which are completely non-toxic with no VOC's and specifically made for a safe nursery. It's a pain in my rear but looks so much better than the brown!
We've had some busy weekends and some not so busy weekends lately and are slowly starting to make friends in our city. Drew is completely excelling at school and is one smart cookie and Ady has been hard at work on her letters and numbers. Her teacher mentioned she's probably in the bottom half of the class so we've been working with her nonstop and she'll bump up from 3 days a week to 5 next year for pre-k.
Here are some pics of Drew doing a science project he got for his birthday..
This one has also been helping more with the cooking on the weekends, especially now that we can grill. We're also trying to make a more conscious effort to eat out less and in more. :)
And this poor girl most likely has asthma along with all of her new found allergies. The poor thing just can't catch a break and we would be lost without that inhaler and spacer! So sweet how she takes care of her babies now with it.
