January Happenings

We've been doing puzzles like crazy over here!

Derek and Drew got to travel to Round Rock for a soccer tournament while the littles and I stayed back. Drew had a shut out for the weekend (didn't let in a single goal) but the championship game was unfortunately cancelled due to bad weather.

Winter Break Fun With Friends!

I organized some fun for a group of Ady's buddies over break. We went to enjoy some bowling and then to lunch!

Will is also enjoying the very rare playdate, this time with his buddy Wyatt!

And then we had a teenager. Somehow my first baby is 13 today and I'm not ok with it. Time is fleeting and it's physically painful to think about him leaving the nest in just 5 years so I try not to. I try to just focus on how amazing of a kid he is and how he gets compliments from other adults and teachers nonstop. His character is solid and his work ethic unmatched and we're thankful for his crazy level of responsibility. He's the best big brother and is a friend to all and he'll do great things in this world for sure. Happy Birthday buddy. Love you more than anything!

New Years Eve

We had another low key New Years Eve this year hosting 2 of Drew's friends overnight and enjoying some time with Gramma and Poppa. I had a big taco bar which everyone enjoyed and we made our drinks more fun this year by putting frosting dipped in gold sprinkles on the rim!

The In Between Week

The week in between Christmas and New Years is always a favorite. We relax, watch more movies, eat all the foods and just enjoy being together. Here are a few of the other happenings that went down....

Date night to enjoy sushi!

Ady attended a futsol camp with her soccer friends...

We saw the new Wonka movie which was phenomenal...

Did a lot of the laying around thing...

And enjoyed our beautiful decorations for a few more days...

Will asked Santa for a drone this year and after the first one didn't work we had to email Santa to see if he could bring another. We've never had to do that before but just two days later there was a new drone and a note from our elf Jolly! Will has enjoyed flying it albeit it's pretty tough on non-windy days...

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day 2024

We started Christmas Eve out by making sugar cookies to decorate...

Then we decorated before church...

Then it was my favorite day of the year!

We wrapped these up for the kids to scratch off in order to find that we're going to Disney for spring break!!

Christmas day isn't complete without a few things. Gramma's banana bread, egg nog, a big meal, bourbon slush, charades and our newest favorite game; farkle.
