Road Trip to Kansas City

My cousin by marriage was getting married in Kansas City and when the bigs had to stay back for mandatory dance and soccer stuff, Will and I decided to carpool with my parents! I did most of the driving and whew it was a beating but much better than going ourselves. :)

We have been taking the kids to Deanna Rose Farmstead since 2011 (post here) and have gone TONS of times since then. If you search the word 'Deanna' up top you can see all of our visits! Will felt super special being there by himself and LOVED the goats!

We, of course, also had some pool time!

Mimi and Grandpa watched Will the first evening and my parents and brother and I attended the welcome party...

The next day was the wedding and it was fun getting all dressed up!

Week 1 Is Done!

The kiddos had a great first week so we got some celebratory treats! I took the littles for snow cones after school on Thursday to celebrate and my parents took them for ice cream stuffed snow cones!

First Day of School

First day of Kindergarten, 3rd and 7th grade! It was a wonderful first few days and we are excited for all of the amazing teachers we got this year!

We also started a new tradition this year with #3 and will do the shirt each year on the first day of school until he's a high school senior! Can't believe my little guy is in kindergarten but many is he ready. He's SO well behaved, sweet and extremely curious about the world. He's constantly asking questions about how things work and how things are made and he's quite intelligent if you ask me. He got a wonderful teacher and there are only 15 other kiddos. Normally the ratio is around 20:1 but this year it's only 16:1 which I love!  :)
