Tour of Homes & Favorite Things Party

Some friends and I got all fancied up for the Tour Of Homes again in our neighborhood and had 2 of our hubbies drive us around. It was a lot of fun seeing the 5 houses all dressed up for the Holidays! This year we followed that fun with a favorite things party hosted at my house. It was a blast and although my item wasn't a hot commodity... HA (Bath & Body candle) it was some much needed girl time with the best ladies! :)

Frozen 2 & Full On Sass

WHEW. We are in a PHASE with the middle. It's serious tears at the drop of a hat with this one and man she can flip so quickly over the smallest of things. Thankfully we had a tear free time with our buddies to see Frozen 2 after Thanksgiving. It was a super cute movie and the girls giggling was super cute.

Christmasey Stuff

One of our traditions is searching for a real tree. Although we can't cut them down here in Texas we still love picking it out and having a live one for the Holiday season!

We also always attend our church's Winter Festival. It was bounce houses, rides, ponies, a petting zoo, live nativity, train rides and ends with a fireworks show. Ady LOVED riding her pony as did Will but he went crazy over the petting zoo!

Lastly we did our tour of the neighborhood on the golf cart with hot chocolate to see the lights. Will did NOT like the cold wind hitting his face but the bigs always love this tradition!

Thanksgiving in Florida

For Thanksgiving this year the in-laws rented a house on Santa Rosa Beach along 30A for a week of sun, sand and fun! The kids were such great travelers and did great pushing their own suitcases and carrying their own backpacks. Overall we had great weather! It wasn't quite warm enough to get in the water for most of us but Drew did go fully in to do some body-boarding. They all 3 loved playing in the sand and we even hit the heated pool up 2 times! The kids and Derek and I LOVE the beach and could sit there all day! Mimi made a delicious Thanksgiving day meal and we ventured down to the beach all dressed up for family pictures. Derek and I also ran a 10K on Thanksgiving day and I hit a new PR of 1:01:50! The last shot is of us playing Heads Up one time per Drew's request. Here are some shots from our vacation....

Mom's 70th!

Uncle Bean was in town for mom's 70th birthday this year and it was so nice to have some time just the 4 of us. We didn't have any big party as they just moved here so we took them to a delicious brunch spot followed by the JFK Museum. We then had dinner at another awesome restaurant with Derek and the kiddos as well!

Another pic with Uncle Bean who my kiddos ADORE. He gets down and plays SO much with them, reads to them, wrestles with them, helps them put shoes and jackets on and even plays Barbie with. I literally couldn't ask for a better brother.

School Things

Yep. It's been a month and no blog. Life is just insane lately but I think this is our new norm. No matter how much I try I haven't felt truly caught up in over 2 years so I just need to succumb to the fact that this is the new norm. Anyway, to catch up a bit, here are some tidbits...

Grandpa got to attend Drew's Veterans Ceremony in November on Veterans Day and Drew loved it. It's so awesome that they can be a part of activities like this now in the kiddos lives.

I attended Ady's Thanksgiving Feast and it was yummy and fun!

A rare shot of my little sleeping at school. His teacher is the BEST and snapped this pic for me so I could see his sweet self snoozing away.

And my 3 later that day...
