Will // 3 Months

Yeah we survived the 4th trimester! Crazy how much we were struggling just a couple months ago and I'm so glad our little man is a much happier baby.

Stats:
Weight: 16lbs 14 oz
Height: 23inches-ish

Temperament: We are SUCH a happier baby now!! You were fighting something for a few days last week in which you were extremely fussy for hours on end. Without a temp and you having wet diapers, though, we didn't take you in. I think you're fully back to normal now and MAN am I obsessed with your little smile! You do also get startled easily and you don't love over stimulation or people yelling. You might just be our little sensitive one!

Sleep: We just moved you from being swaddled to the zipadee-zip as you were just HATING being swaddled and sleep has been ok so we'll see how that goes. At night you generally go down around 8-8:30 and you sleep anywhere from 5-8 hours then nurse and get back to sleep shortly after. Naps are still all over the place but you generally take one really good afternoon nap accompanied by a couple other smaller naps.

Eat: Love nursing and you're still trucking along just fine at it. You do get distracted super easily when nursing though and it's kinda funny watching you look all over. Plus mommy had clogged ducts two times and those are SUPER painful! When you were fighting something last week you did drop the bottle and we're trying to get you to take it again!

Clothes: You're still squeezing into some 6 month size but are in mostly 9 month now.

Diapers: Size 2

Talk:  Cooing quite often and you REALLY love being talked to!

Love you little Willy Bear! :)

Mimi & Grandpa

We had Mimi and Grandpa in last week knowing Derek was getting his vasectomy and there would be some recovery time. We did a few things with them but with various issues (ie kids getting sick, weather, etc) we did a lot of just relaxing at home. Derek and I did slip away for 2 date nights though which is something we'll NEVER take for granted. Of course the minute they leave Will comes down with something and has been CRAZY inconsolable. Here's one thing we did while they were here.... feed the ducks!

Summering

I'm surviving! Ha! It's tough being at home with all 3 but even more tough lugging them all to the pool and trying to keep the little man cool / in the shade / happy! We actually had Mimi and Grandpa in town last week and then summer camps start this week so all is good. :)

Cake pops are the BEST bribery!

Time For A Check Up

Ady McStuffins wanted to perform a check up on Will to make sure he was growing ok. She checked him all out and is happy to report that he's perfectly well.

Ady's First Dance Recital

Oh man. I've waited for this day since I first found out she was a girl! She's loved taking dance at a local studio once a week and just this past week was the final recital! On Friday we had rehearsal in which she really didn't move much the first practice, but then again, neither did anyone else. By practice #2 they all had warmed up a bit and at the recital they all were even better! She loved wearing mommy's makeup and I could tell she was so proud of herself and loved all of the attention. Yes, some tears might have been shed by mommy during the performance. It was over the top adorable and my beautiful dancer did an awesome job!

Bill Self Basketball Camp

Part of Drew's Christmas/Birthday was tickets to the Bill Self Basketball Camp with daddy! It was an overnight stay in a dorm room and time with the current basketball team. Being the Jayhawk fans we are, we knew this would be a blast for the 2 of them. Unfortunately Bill wasn't able to be at the camp which was a big negative for me, especially because having your picture taken with him is always such a plus of the expensive camp. Oh well. Either way, the boys had a blast and Drew LOVED spending the night in a college dorm room with daddy! Uncle Matt (who played KU basketball) was able to come and snap a few pictures as well. :)

It was SO weird to see my son making a bed in a college dorm considering we're only about 11 years away from that!

Ady sported her Jayhawk cheerleader outfit for when we picked up the boys on campus...

Trip to KC Highlights

We decided to take a week of our summer and head up to KC to visit family and relax a bit! We hit up our favorite spots and let the grandparents entertain the kiddos as much as possible!

Will got to meet some extended family...

We played miniature golf...

For Derek's birthday dinner we went to a Japanese Steakhouse

The kids played outside in the pool to beat the heat at Gramma's...

And then stopped by our favorite hamburger place; Fritz's

Had to feed our favorite goats at Deanna Rose...

And knock of a summer bucket list item of trying rolled ice cream...

We swam in Mimi's pool two times...

And overall had a wonderful trip! Will slept the entire trip up outside of nursing 3 times and did the same on the way back home with the exception of the last hour needing entertainment!

Happy Pants

We've DEFINITELY made a turn with this little man. We just got home from a week in KC and he was seriously the BEST baby there. Thank goodness for whoever told me to cut dairy back about 8 weeks ago!!

Also, love how these 2 adore seeing him in his crib.
