I have to admit that summer is hard. Like H-A-R-D. I get why kids love summer so much and it 100% has to do with the fact that parents give their every ounce of energy booking fun camps, scheduling playdates, filling empty time with pool visits and keeping kids entertained while at home. It's hard but as long as they are happy right? I'm just very much looking forward to routing and structure here in a couple of weeks. We've been leaving Drew here and there a bit to babysit this summer. We're calling it his 'tests' to show us he's capable so that he can start doing it for real this fall/winter for pay. Very small pay mind you. But he's so responsible and great with the littles that we're confident he'll be a good sitter.
For now, let's catch up on this summer!
Drew at an outdoor camp with his buddy Dylan. They did archery, fishing, axe throwing, trail walking, water play and so much more.
Cooking banana bread for our 'Christmas in July' we do each year!
This one has found a love of puzzles and actually does quite well!
My two besties that moved away in July and August. Sad times. :(
One final round with Derek and the husbands before the two of them moved away...
Last night out with the girls before two of those momms move away...
Family day at Hawaiian Falls. Drew, Ady and I are there almost every week with buddies but Will doesn't love it so we don't bring him but once a summer...
Ady had a palatal expander put in at the orthodontist in which she has to turn 28 times widening her upper palate. Then she'll get some top braces on for a while before, most likely, a second set will go on in middle school.
After soccer camp cheeseburgers...
Saying goodbye to their Lottie-bo at the pool before she moved...
Soccer camp...
Hawaiian Falls with friends...
Elise's birthday party...
More pool fun...
Drew met his buddies to fish a few times this summer and always got something from our ponds...
And yes another visit to Hawaiian Falls...
