Catching Up

Derek and I were invited to an awesome housewarming party complete with bartenders, poker tables, a photo booth and so much food! It's always nice to get dressed up once in a while!

One of the last soccer games quickly turned FREEZING and we weren't prepared! Will at least was warm on Gramma's lap. 

She's mostly a pain in the rear but she's a good dog and loves her kids. 

And a freezing golf tournament too...

My girl became the first kiddo in our family to earn Top Dog! The kiddos have to show 10 characteristics and she did it! We are SO SO proud of our girl!

Dance conventions are loooooooong, often having the girls dance for 8 hours but man do they love them and learn so much!

6th grade award ceremony and Drew got the A Honor Roll again! But also I just love his smile and how handsome he is...

Ady advanced to the final stage of the 'Amazing Shake'. It's a manners type event where they have to build each other up, use manners, not interrupt, be a team player, etc. So proud of her!

Love my little creature lover. We had this huge toad in the backyard and he loved carrying him around!

 

Field Day & Field Trip

Will at his pre-k field day! The kiddos LOVED it!

And Ady's last second grade field trip that I was able to help chaperone! We went to some butterfly gardens and the kiddos had a blast!

 

Piano Update

Drew started piano when he was 8 years old just like Ady. I always told him it's mandatory in our house until middle school in which you can decide if you'd like to continue. He wanted to continue and went through 6th grade but has decided that with club soccer and golf it's just a bit much for him. I will miss hearing him play but we got in one more round of Achievement Auditions and one more recital before he was done. 

Preschool Safety Town

Our little preschool does 'Safety Town' each year and it's just darling. They set up an entire city with a hospital, bank, car wash, school, etc, etc. The kiddos make box cars and my dad loves helping! He helped Ady with hers a few years ago and made Will's car look awesome!

They got to sit in their cars and enjoy popcorn while watching the drive in movie!

Girls Trip!

My best Texas gals both up and moved last summer... one to Utah and one to Georgia. We decided we needed to catch up so we met in New Orleans for some fun. Goodness was it just amazing to be back with these 2. We jumped right back into conversation as if they'd never left, laughed, cried and debated some hot topics as we always do. I love these 2 so much and it was a much needed weekend away!
