So after decorating our Christmas tree last weekend, I was thinking it would be fun to post some of my favorite ornaments! Then I thought of you guys and how I'd love to see what's hanging on your trees also! Feel free to grab the image above for your own ornament posts. Be sure to let me know if you do so that I can read up!
Derek and I have always collected ornaments to the places we've traveled. Either I have an ornament on the tree, or it was broken by the dogs, from each of the places on the right-hand side of the blog. I love this tradition and will continue it until I'm too old to travel. Hopefully by retirement, we have a full tree of ornaments just from our trips! Here are a few of my favs....

Clockwise Order: London, Cayman Islands, Sanibel, Vail, Paris, Costa Rica, Disney World |
And what tree would be complete without a couple ornaments with our favorite team on them?
Now it's your turn!

beautiful ornaments!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThose ornaments are so pretty! We don't have our tree up yet to put any ornaments on, lol! Heck, we still have to GET our tree! You're doing so much better than I am, I'm SO not worthy (as I bow to you), lol! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and leaving a comment. And, your gift giving progress is making me feel so much better!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I was checking out all your travels on your right side margin and WOW, you guys have been to some places. I'm not trying to play "catch up"!
Love your ornaments. I will have to post a few of my favorites once we get a tree and decorate it. :-) I love the idea of collecting ornaments from places you've been. I wish I had started that. I do however, always bring back an ornament for my MIL from where we've traveled.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to collect ornaments!
ReplyDeleteawe this is awesome! I love ornaments so much!
ReplyDeleteI love all your ornaments! This is a great idea =) Think i'm going to do the same now =)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the travel ornaments!!!! What a great way to remember them by!
ReplyDeleteWe collect ornaments from the places we travel, too! And, it looks like we have the same sliver Baby's First Christmas spoon. Great minds think alike! I will be linking this up on my blog soon. Love the show and tell!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I had time to do this because I have so many that I love:), but alas, I don't, lol....Addy has the same Baby's First picture ornament that Andrew has:).
ReplyDeleteCute, I don't have any of my own ornaments, and we don't really put up a christmas tree (it doesn't feel that Christmas to me because I live in australia now, and christmas in summer is just weird to me!), but I love all the ornaments my mom has.
ReplyDeleteI love your variety of ornaments! Besides the keepsake ones like you mentioned, first home, first Christmas together, new baby, I am collecting angel ornaments for my mom. Each year I ask for angel ornaments from people and my hope is to one day have a tree solely decorated in angels.
ReplyDeletelove these ornaments! especially the kansas one ;)!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You've inspired me to create an ornament post once we get our tree up, thanks for sharing!

Lovely! My parents had a tradition of giving each of us a kids a new ornament for Christmas. Now we do this with our own kids. They love having their own ornaments that they get to place on the tree.
ReplyDeleteI flipflop between wanting to stick with two color schemed ornaments and wanting to start a collection of random cute ornaments! Also, I'm jealous of your travel ornaments, the only time I've "left the country" was to Canada to see Niagara Falls, and I don't really think that counts! haha
ReplyDeleteI love that you have ornaments from your travels! I've always thought that was a fun idea.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Show and Tell! Thanks for the idea!!

ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, I’m Anne from Life on the Funny Farm (http://annesfunnyfarm.blogspot.com), and I’m visiting from Friday Chaos.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a great idea for a collection! So simple, doesn't take up any space, and yet so meaningful. I love it!
Anyway, thanks for posting this. If you’ve never visited yet, I hope you can pop by my blog sometime to say hi…
Thanks for a cool idea! I am getting ready to post some of my favorite ornaments!
ReplyDeleteJust returning the "hi" you left on my site, and I noticed the Kansas Jayhawk's ornament. I'm from Lawrence! Are you from there or maybe you went to KU?
ReplyDeleteI sure did! Both the hubs and I went there and so did our siblings We're HUGE Jayhawk fans! :)
DeleteYou have some great ornaments! We just set up our first christmas tree and have no real sentimental ornaments, except for the wedding one I made with a shredded invitation! I am hoping to start collecting ones from travel, but that would involve us traveling! :)
ReplyDeleteWow I love your blog and this idea!! When I get home from vacation I will definitely have to post this one. Also, not sure if you are aware, but you are a "no reply" blogger so I can't reply to your comments.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, can't wait to follow yours!
